Mole removal
Mole removal is a common cosmetic and medical procedure that involves the removal of unwanted or concerning moles from the skin. Moles, or nevi, are usually harmless growths, but in some cases, they can be a source of discomfort or concern, especially if they change in size, color, or shape. Mole removal can be performed for cosmetic reasons or if a mole is suspected to be cancerous or pre-cancerous.

There are several methods for mole removal, including:
Excision: This is the most common method for removing moles. A doctor will use a scalpel to cut out the mole and a small margin of surrounding skin. The wound is then stitched up. This method is typically used for larger or deeper moles and may leave a small scar.
Shave Removal: In this method, a razor-like tool is used to shave off the mole at skin level. It’s typically used for smaller, raised moles. This method may not require stitches and often results in less scarring.
Laser Removal: Laser treatment uses focused light to break down the pigment in the mole, causing it to fade or disappear. This method is often used for smaller, flat moles and is a less invasive option with minimal scarring.
Cryotherapy: This involves freezing the mole with liquid nitrogen, causing the tissue to die and fall off over time. Cryotherapy is more commonly used for non-cancerous moles and is typically used on smaller, raised moles.
